LATEST PROJECTS COMPLETED

Our largest project for 2023-2024 was the financing and support of a multipurpose hall in Peddarikatla, India. Working with a local partner organization, NWV reviewed all aspects of the build, from the initial architectural design, the budget, the building timeline, and the completion of the project. The completion of the building will meet the needs of the locals by providing an emergency shelter during monsoon season, a daycare for preschoolers, an ongoing education facility, a basic medical training facility, a dormitory for students who live far away from the educational resources in the town, and will also be used for social and cultural events. The center will officially open in March 2024!

THIS PROJECT COULD NOT HAVE BEEN COMPLETED WITHOUT A GENEROUS GRANT FROM THE WILLIAM E. WOCKNER FOUNDATION!!

Our largest NWV project for 2020-2023 was the financing and help with the construction of a clinic/community center (a multi-use building) in the remote village of Chinachabilchoch, Izabal, Guatemala.

We were partnering with Guatemala Village Health (GVH), an excellent non profit organization based in Seattle.

Construction of a clinic/community center in Chinachabilchoch did not only benefit that village, but is an excellent resource for the surrounding six villages.

The building includes clinic rooms, meeting rooms/dorms, bathrooms, two showers and an external kitchen. Solar panels will provide power for lights, clinic operation and radio communications.

While the construction of the clinic project was completed in 2021, an exciting upgrade to the clinic was completed in 2023 which included a cell tower installation, bringing much needed communication and wifi access to the local villages!

THIS PROJECT COULD NOT HAVE BEEN COMPLETED WITHOUT TWO GENEROUS GRANTS FROM THE WILLIAM E. WOCKNER FOUNDATION!!
